Primary Carbon Notice of Registration of commercial, industrial and residential Solar PV Plants with the Verified Carbon Standard. Primary Carbon is responsible for the commissioning of new commercial industrial and residential solar PV installations in the Republic of South Africa and wishes to register the installations with the Verified Carbon Standard. Each project activity instance will comprise of one or more solar PV facilities, where the total maximum installed capacity of the facilities do not exceed 15MW, per project activity instance. The project will result in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions due to the displacement of grid electricity consumption, which in South Africa, is coal-based electricity. Primary Carbon intends on registering all solar PV plants that it currently manages with the VCS to contribute towards carbon offsetting. Primary Carbon invites any written or verbal comments or concerns relating to the registration of its solar PV Grouped Project with the VCS. All interested and affected parties are invited to contact our offices within 30 calendar days of this notification.
